Why NIDO? NIDO, a simple and short word that can be easily pronounced anywhere in the world. NIDO also has a meaning that highlights Bernaudin and Patrassi’s vision of architecture: “il nido” (the nest in italian) tells about the first purpose of architecture: give man a shelter, comfort. They believe that in order to provide this feeling of wellness, the architect has to create alchemy between various tools such as volume and proportions of space, materials, use of light, treatment of air and temperature, protection from noise.Luis Barragàn once said: Any work of architecture which does not express serenity is a mistake.
